Giving Love

Some times I feel as though no one really tries to see
The times that I need love the very most,
Or when I need some gentle words of loving kindness given
And a special friend who'd hold me, close.

If I just asked for love and kindness every single day
It wouldn't mean so much to me as if they'd given it away,
But life is full of twists and turns when everyone needs help
We have to realize we aren't the only one that could use it our self.

I wonder how many times I've given love to others.
Hugged a child who scrapped their knee or helped some younger brothers.
The Lord can see our every act and every word we say.
He smiles down upon us when we bless Him in this way.

He is watching over us and guides us from above.
Heavenly Father is so kind, for truly, He is love.
